According to 9NEWS Denver’s Mike Klis Gary Zimmerman Jersey , the Broncos have waived defensive lineman DeShawn Williams. The second-year player had a solid camp and preseason but could not crack an already deep Broncos defensive line.Williams is a second year player so he does have Practice Squad eligibility I believe so he is another name to watch in that regard.He has earned praise from coaches and onlookers all summer but the Broncos just didn’t have a spot on the roster for him. You have the likes of Derek Wolfe, Adam Gotsis, Shelby Harris, DeMarcus Walker, and Clinton McDonald ahead of him. He needed an injury to ever have a solid chance and that never happened. Williams was down right dominant at times last night in the preseason finale against the Arizona Cardinals. He was credited with a sack but with clearly a man amongst men out there. Williams like most will have to clear waivers before being able to join the Broncos practice squad. It is possible he is claimed by a team desperate for D-Line depth, but if that does not happen, expect him back with the Broncos in a few days. There was some concern this week that Broncos second-round pick Drew Lock would miss Thursday’s first training camp practice because of ongoing negotiations with the team over his contract.That concern evaporated on Wednesday afternoon when the quarterback agreed to terms on a four-year deal. Lock’s deal calls for him to receive workout bonuses in the final two years of the deal Tom Jackson Jersey , which is unusual for second-round picks but offensive lineman Dalton Risner, who was selected by Denver one pick before Lock, also got them in his contract.Lock did not receive the so-called quarterback premium that reports this week indicated he was looking for and Lock said on Thursday that he wasn’t entirely sure what that means, but that he told his agents to get the deal done before he missed the first practice of camp.“I was anxious to get out on the field, but I knew we were trying to get things worked out,” Lock said, via Nicki Jhabvala of TheAthletic.com. “The Broncos and my agency were working together Dennis Smith Jersey , but I told my agency beforehand, if it got to the point where I was missing practice then there was no chance we were going to go on with it.
