Nyquist also scored on Wednesday, as he opened the scoring by tallying off a feed from Abdelkader. Pavel Datsyuk added a power-play tally late in the third to account for the final margin, while Henrik Zetterberg notched two assists. Jimmy Howard stopped 25-of-27 shots for the win, improving to 4-1-2 on the season.
