DHAKA, July 9 (Xinhua) -- A devastating fire that broke out Saturday night at an eight- story ready-made garment factory building in Savar on the outskirts of Bangladesh capital Dhaka was brought under control early Sunday; there were no casualties.


Fire Service Official Shafiqul Islam told journalists that the fire broke out on the first floor of the factory and gutted the first and second floor by that time they arrived at the scene.


There were no casualties, he said, adding no one was trapped inside the building.
