MELBOURNE Bud Norris Jersey , Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Australia's sporting capital of Melbourne is ready for the opening ceremony and the first match of the upcoming AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015, said an official.
The tournament will kick off in Melbourne on Friday when the host Australia plays against Kuwait.
A total of 16 teams will play 32 matches in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Newcastle and Canberra.
"We very much look forward to the world-class football games that will be played in Melbourne. It would be fantastic not only for Melbourne but for those people who love soccer Marcell Ozuna Jersey ," said John Eren, the Minister for Sport in Australia's southeastern state of Victoria.

The Melbourne Rectangular Stadium (MRS), the venue where the Asian Cup beginner would stage and Victorian government had made significant investment in, is of 30 Mike Matheny Jersey ,000 capacity. The Etihad Stadium is of 50,000 capacity. Melbourne is also the home to the well-known tennis playground Rod Laver Arena, Hisense and Margret Court. All of these stadiums will have retractable roofs on top of them so games can be played on any weather, according to Eren.
The Federal government had announced that 61 million Australian dollars would be spent on the Asian Cup, half of which will come from common wealth while the rest will be covered by states and territories and that will be divided up accordingly.
Eren told Xinhua that Victorian government have long been investing generously into its playgrounds for sports.

The Melbourne Park with the second stage we will roll over 600 million dollars worth of investment and by the end of it we are looking at closer to a billion dollars worth of investment."
Eren told Xinhua that the Victorian government and himself are very much acutely aware of how important infrastructure is for the Asian Cup and other major tournaments, "that's why I suppose we are seen as the sport capital of this nation, because the investments we have made in the past and we will continue to make."
The minister said that all the investment will receive great returns.
